Location: La Berzosilla (Torrelodones) GPS: [40°35’03.5″N 3°57’02.7″W] or [40.584313, -3.950749]
Directions by public transport: More info?
611 bus from Intercambiador Moncloa (isla 2, platform 29) leaving at 11:45 will get you to the stop La Berzosilla on via de servicio A-6 just at the bottom of the catwalk over the A-6 (https://goo.gl/maps/WQxMRnxbhXcunpEH7). Follow flour to CP.
Hashers arriving by bus will get to the CP too early (around 12:15), they’ll have to wait outside for the hares…
Alternatively, take cercanías ( https://www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/cercanias/planos/madrid.html ) train to Torrelodones station, walk in almost straight line from the train station through Calle Antonio Muñoz Manzaneque and the catwalk to the other side of A-6, pass the bus stop, ring the bell on the gate named “Las Meigas” number 18. This walk takes about 15 to 20 min. Trains won’t go through Recoletos station or Mendez Alvaro station, choose a different train or use them once you’ve passed those stations.
Driving directions (from Cuzco):
Take the A-6 heading towards Villalba. Exit at KM 27 to Torrelodones and stay on via de servicio (= Av. Comunidad de Madrid) for about 5K, pass Torrelodones town on your right , stay on via de servicio after one roundabout and carry on till you reach a catwalk over A6 , slow down here to turn right. The entrance number 18 is directly from via de servicio (one-way drive) so be very careful not to pass it as you will not be able to reverse!!
Parking space inside Las Meigas is limited so please advise beforehand if you are coming by car to organize. Cars with beer & softies have preference to enter and drive up the ramp.
Please bring a water bottle, sunscreen & a hat. Bring a picnic to share!
There will be BBQ facilities for any products to grill or warm up. Please bring a dish of your choice (fish fingers not recommendable). Use of the kitchen will not be available.
You can also take a dip in a pool. Needless to say civic rules should be obeyed both at the pool and house.
Phone +34 611 100 990 if lost.
ON ON!
