Directions by public transport: More info?
There are several options by metro:
Principe Pío Station: lines 6 & 10. This station is also accesible by Cercanías trains. There will be flour to the CP from this station, visitors are recommended to use this one, exit Paseo del Rey.
Principe Pio metro is also on the R (Ramal) line. This is a short line – it starts at Opera and ends at Principe Pio (with no stop in between). You can get to Opera on foot from Plaza Santa Ana in 10-15 minutes. Alternatively it´s one stop from Sol on line 2. From there you follow the other directions (leave through the Paseo del Rey exit and follow flour.)
Argüelles station: lines 3, 4 & 6.
Ventura Rodríguez Station: line 3.
Driving directions (from Cuzco):
Go to Moncloa & follow Calle Princesa, then turn right in the Argüelles metro corner to go to Parque del Oeste.
Continue straight into the park & take the second exit at the roundabout, then turn right after you see a car park.
Our CP will be at the end of that street.
Taxi:
Hashers could give the Google Map on the website to taxi drivers and go that way. However, the street has no name which I think will cause all sorts of confusion. A clearer way of getting there is to:
Get a cab to Casa Mingo, Paseo de la Florida 34 https://goo.gl/maps/HoW8eGfYzMG2
This is a famous old restaurant in Madrid – every taxi driver should know it. From there, there will be flour to the car park but basically you go up the left-hand-side of Casa Mingo as you are looking at it (i.e. with the small church on your left – that’s also the church where Goya is buried). Go into the park and then cross the footbridge over the railway track.
Hashing is NOT a guided activity, nor is it led by professionals. If you take part in a Hash run or walk you do so of your own free will, voluntarily and fully aware that it is not guided. The Madrid Hash House Harriers merely schedules the activity and publishes details of the same.
We would remind you that running, whether that be in the mountains, outdoors in general or in urban areas, entails a number of inherent risks depending on the terrain. The mountain environment particularly is uncontrollable and can at times be hostile. By taking part in this activity you accept those risks.
Each participant must be aware of their own physical condition and must decide whether or not to take part based on the details of the activity provided. Participants are responsible for their own safety and should not take part unless they are sure that they will be able to perform the activity without placing themselves or others at risk. Each participant is responsible for wearing/carrying with them any equipment that they may need to take part in the activity safely (including water, a cap and sun-cream in hot weather, clothing appropriate to the conditions, be that hot, cold or wet). They must also heed any instructions given to them by the organisers. All participants understand that they bear their own responsibility should they fail to heed or comply with the above obligations.
